This study examines the awareness,
adoption, and usage of mobile payment and
FinTech apps among commerce students.
With increasing digitalization, students—
often called “digital natives”—emerge as
key users of UPI apps, digital wallets,
mobile banking, and investment platforms.
Adoption is shaped by ease of use, trust,
financial literacy, and socio- economic
background. Challenges include low
awareness of advanced features, data
security concerns, and limited financial
education. A survey of 257 students in
Coimbatore used percentage analysis, chi
square, ANOVA, and descriptive methods
to assess patterns. Findings reveal digital
finance’s impact on money management
and the need for stronger financial literacy.
